Meet Jennie Dickerson, Founder and CEO.

Jennie Dickerson, founder and CEO of Cabin 9 Consulting, brings 15 years of experience helping nonprofits dream bigger and raise money smarter. A Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) with an MBA, Jennie has worked with powerhouse institutions and scrappy two-person teams alike. She's led $1M+ annual funds and faculty campaigns at a major university, managed 100-donor portfolios, and coached a client to launch a $3M capital campaign that raised $1M in its first week. She has managed 8-figure campaigns and tripled monthly giving campaigns. Jennie's work spans borders- she even consulted internationally in Colombia, creating a tailored development plan to fit their unique challenges. From designing 60+ multi-channel annual campaigns to building donor pipelines that actually work, Jennie knows how to turn strategy into dollars and vision into action. Her breadth and depth of experience with a variety of organizations makes her uniquely skilled at bringing best in class solutions and meeting organizations where they are. At Cabin 9, she teaches, coaches, and partners with leaders who want to raise money with less stress- and have fun doing it. 

Along the way, she discovered a knack for equipping leaders and program staff to raise more dollars so they can focus on their mission. She has been hooked on partnering with organizations to help them become more sustainable ever since.

Meredith Gore

Administrative Assistant

Meredith is a former educator turned Administrative Assistant. You can usually find her working on her laptop while she listens to the Pride and Prejudice soundtrack. She enjoys traveling, reading, and being part of all the great things happening at Cabin 9!

History of Cabin 9

Cabin 9 Consulting was established in 2017 when Jennie recognized the need for fundraising consulting for small but mighty organizations and teams. As the only development professional in a nonprofit cohort during her time at Lakeshore Camp and Retreat Center, it became clear that executive leaders were doing an excellent job at providing the services and programming at their organizations but needed guidance developing skills to ensure their sustainability. 

Seeing as she had both the industry skills these leaders needed and the experience to right-size the solution for the audience, she launched Cabin 9 Consulting. Our company is named after the staff cabin, Cabin 9, at Lakeshore Camp and Retreat Center. Cabin 9 holds a special place in her heart, as it is both the place where she discovered a passion for fundraising that became a career and the place she turned that passion into the ability to teach, partner, and coach leaders and organizations. 

Over the years, she has utilized her experience working for both global brands and 2-person organizations to meet leaders where they are and provide solutions that work. With clients from coast to coast and in a variety of industries, she is ready to take on your biggest fundraising challenge.
